Huawei’s subbrand’s new mid-range smartphone Honor 8X global variant goes on sale, and the device will be launched in Indian markets on October 16 at an event in New Delhi. Considered as the mid-range Phablet, the Honor 8X is launched in Dubai, UAE and Madrid, Spain and will also be launched in the markets of Malaysia, Russia, Czech Republic, and Thailand.
Honor 8X, as the name implies is successor to Honor 7X, a budget-friendly device to offer a taller 18:9 display, and dual rear camera setup. Honor 8X is powered by new Kirin 710 SoC processor with the company switching to modern CPU that has been fabricated using the 12nm process.
The smartphone sports a 6.5-inch display with a Full HD+ resolution of 2340×1080 pixels, and 19.5:9 aspect ratio while it’s being launched in three storage variants: 4GB RAM model with 64GB storage and 6GB RAM variant with either 64GB or 128GB internal storage.
Coming to optics, there is a ual rear camera setup comprising of a 20-megapixel primary sensor with f/1.8 aperture, and phase detection autofocus. There is also a secondary 2-megapixel depth sensor and a 16-megapixel selfie shooter with f/2.0 aperture, support for HDR and 1080p video recording on front.
